A. General Rules and Regulations
A student admitted to the JSSAHERM shall:

Have attained the age of 16 years on the date of the start of the academic year in which he is admitted

Meet both the general and specific admission requirements of the JSSAHER, Mauritius and of the programme in which he/she is admitted respectively.

Overseas candidates whose first language is not English and who do not hold a degree or equivalent professional qualification taught in English will be required to produce evidence of their competence in English.
B. Admission to programme of study at undergraduate level (certificate/diploma/ degree)

Candidates must be:
Either Pass in :
3 Subjects at A-level and 1 subject at subsidiary level of Higher School Certificate Examination;
OR Pass in :
2 Subjects at A-level and 2 subjects at subsidiary level of Higher School Certificate Examination;
OR Pass in :
3 Subjects at A-level at the London Certificate Examination or equivalent;

The specific minimum requirements for admission to individual programmes leading to the award of a certificate/diploma/under graduate degree are provided under programme requirements.

The Academic Council may require an applicant to sit for a special entrance examination for admission

Foreign students may be admitted with a minimum of 2 A- Level or equivalent
C. Admission to Master's Programmes

The general minimum entry requirement for a Master's programme is second class degree or a post graduate diploma or equivalent

Specific requirements for admission to individual programmes leading to the award of a Master's degree are provided under programme

The Academic Council may require an applicant to sit for a special entrance examination for admission
Exemptions
No module exemption shall be entertained at Undergraduate and Master's level.
